    Always in a pair
    Never alone
Like a sweet, lovely couple back-to-back stretching their legs
    So lively and supportive!

    Never wrong, always right
    A guaranteed test score
    Everything is right
    Deserves absolute compliment
    What a perfectionist!

Who are they? Facing each other?
A teacher and a student? A mother and a baby?
    No. They are identical twins.
So equal. So same. Wow, no difference at all!

    Congruency is scary,
    Looks the same,
    And is no game.

    Congruency are twins,
    Difficult and Confusing.
    Never different sizes.

    Congruency are triplets,
    SSS, SAS, ASA,
    Three peas in a pod.

    And we hate peas.

    Similarity and Dilation

    Shrinking or growing
    When I am drawing
    Smaller or bigger
    Depends on my drawing
A growth in size, all measures can rise

    Shapes not changing
    as size is increasing
    Three times bigger
    Four times smaller
    Multiplied by the scale factor
    Performing Change of the polygons
    It’s a sensation!

Two steps smaller to the right
Three steps bigger to the left
    Size transforms
    It’s a dilation!

    Big or small
    Tall or short
    Squares keep their 90 degrees
    Circles are still 360 degrees
    It’s similarities!

    Identical and equal
    Matching and alike
    same formation but different proportion
As if two swans and a pair of socks
    They are the same
    That’s how it came
    How it got fame
    Similarities and Dilation

  5. Corresponding:

To correspond is like being twins.
They are not different, but are matching.
At the same time, they are comparable to.

    Alternate Interior:

    Alternate means being the same.
    Interior means inside.
    They have same angles
but different locations inside the coordinate planes.

    Alternate Exterior:

    Alternate means the same.
    Exterior means outside.
    Identical they are,
    and are duplicates.

    One happy couple
    so cute, Ms. acute
    big and strong, Mr. obtuse.
so cold Ms. right, who loves Mr. obtuse

Ms. acute whose younger then 90,
    can be 87,88,89, depends
    she has a boyfriend,
    just so older than her
    and is bigger than her

    so thats Mr. obtuse
    he is older than 91,
    can be 92, 93, 94, depends
    he has a girlfriend, acute.

    Ms. right, has no boyfriend
    she’s always so cold
    and her eyes are sad
    she is exactly 90,
    no older, or no younger
    Ms. right loves Mr. obtuse
but Mr. obtuse loves Ms. acute

so cold so warm so lovely
the angle couples and ms. right

    Polygons

When I am a regular polygon,
I have equal sides and angles.

When I am an irregular polygon,
I am not equal in lengths and angles.

    I have a locked door
    with closed walls.
    you can never
    enter me.

    I have smooth sides
    but sharp like broken glass.
    I am spicy
    with sharp tastes.

I am not curvy and dull
    like ripped and crumbled paper.
    I don't look like a doughnut
    but I look like a
    stop sign.

    I don't feel like rubber
    because I am straight.

  9. You see you got a 66 percent on your grade.
Rotation makes your grade to 99 percent if you rotate 180 degrees
    ..... Isn’t that so COOOOL????
Rotating makes your life go easier.
    Your clock turns clockwise
When you open water bottle cap you don’t pull it up
you rotate it! DUH! See I told you rotation makes life more easier.

When you rotate a figure into 90/180/ 360 degrees it looks different,
but the shape never ever changes.
Translation is the movement of an object up and down, left or right.

Move up and down! Put your hands up!

    They're one big family

    With angles equaling 360,
it proves hat they're four sided polygons.

    You call them Quadrilateral
    not an equilateral

    They are solid like buildings,
    not jelly-like,
    not like a Jello
